then both going up the back making a square know out of eachother, down each arm underneath where one makes a monkeyfist and the other an eye splic and the rope around the wrist. Maybe some colorful fish swimming around the anchors.... I have no tatoos and this would be a long work in progress.

wow. that is a huge tattoo commitment and if you are willing to make that commitment then congratulations to you!! since you don't have any tattoos yet, let me give you this advice.

research artists before you go to someone. don't just walk into any local tattoo shop and get someone to start this for you.
look at as many portfolios as you can get your hands on. find a reputable artist that does wonderful original work. preferably someone that specializes in traditional style tattoos with maybe a bit of a new skool touch. if you live anywhere near texas, my tattoo artist is phenomenal. good luck!!

If you don't have a tattoo already I suggest you get something smaller to start with. You need to make sure that you will be able to stand the pain of getting a tattoo and to make sure that it is something you want to live with for the rest of your life.
