Jesus represents the spiritual Son of God. His body (spiritual body) was broken (into pieces) so that we all may have or be a part of The Son of God as one. Just believe on His name to become become the sons of God. So I guess if I truly believe on His name then I am. So the next question is what does it mean to believe on His name?
-------
Then I will also say that the word name here in the Greek denotes Character or can also represent power and being!

Yes. I am an adopted son of God. Unlike Jesus who is the only Begotten son of God.

Gary,
Yes. By adoption I am a son of God. Paul made that clear in Galatians 3:26.

YES, adopted and joint heir with Jesus. Wow think of that I will inherit everything that God has over the next bizillion years or so.
By then He will have a lot more love so it will take another xillion years to get that. I will never catch up with all of the Love He has to give me no matter how much I give it away. What a delima. So much inheritance I can never give it all away.

If you believe in God, then you must believe we are ALL children of God.
You have misinterpreted scripture if you are implying that only those who "received" Jesus is a son of God. That is not what the scripture is saying.
