Patching your "good eye" is usually the way most eye care practitioners will initially approach it. I tell some of my patients to use scotch tape on the back side of your glasses as a patch, as it's less noticeable to those around you.
You can also use dilating drops in the good eye for patients with a history of non-compliance with patching.
Before you do any of the above, I would advise you to get an eye exam and talk to an optometrist that specializes in vision therapy.
**Of note: Treating amblyopia (lazy eye) needs to be done in youth. Treating it during adulthood won't do a thing.

My son had a problem with a lazy eye and he went through theraphy with our eye doctor. I remember one excercise was tracking. A peice pf paper has all differant letters on it, looks kind of like a word search puzzle. My son had to go through all the letters and circle all the T's, it was actually pretty hard for him to do but he did other excerses to and it helped alot

Pencil exercises...cover your good eye, and with your lazy eye, follow a pencil as you are moving it from in front of your eye to the side of your head and then back again, to as far as you can follow it to the other side of your face....
