Don't play around with perms. If your going to do it perm your whole head. Don't do half it will cause serious damage to your hair. For further help try checking out a few places that specialize in perming your type of hair. Ask the stylist questions you have about straightening your hair. There are other ways of doing it without perms, hot combs and flat irons. They do make certain shampoos that will help straighten curly/frizzy hair. With the use of a blow dryer.

If you put a perm in your hair and keep combing your hair straight and dont let it get curly at all, apparently it's like a reverse perm and straightens it out. However, there is no way you should even try this. get a pro! you could permanently mess up your hair. It's not worth it.

A perm will not straighten (perms are for waves and curls) your hair what you need is a relaxer and it is best for a professional hair dresser to put one in especally for the first time. But once you put a relaxer in you will have to keep it up or either cut it out.
