Sometimes when you're drunk and go to sleep it's not really restful sleep but a kind of passing out. This usually allows you to be out about 4 hours, then you wake up. After that you can go to normal sleep. Strange huh? I read this in some literature from a drunk driving class my ex took. P.S. thats why he's an ex.

I think you are just stuck with it. My dorm mate does the same thing. Usually she will sleep until 11, but get her drunk the night before and she is up no later than 7.
She if you can get her to be quieter in the mornings, or leave a book or something by the bed so she doesn't immedeatly feel bored and want to walk around. I dunno. The only idea I've ever had for the early morning drinking is that they wake up because they need to pee, but who knows.

Oh man, I'm sorry for you. That sucks. Something that helps me sleep longer is making sure my room is going to stay as dark as possible once it becomes light outside. And then, I have a fan that I keep on. It drowns out noises so all I hear is the soft humming. If you don't like a fan blowing on you while you sleep, just point it in a different direction.
Good luck!

I do that too. She can't help it, its just her body's reaction to detoxifying and being dehydrated. The water suggestion is good, get her to drink as much as you can, and make sure there is some handy when she wakes. I usually put a bottle of water on my nightstand. Its warm by morning, but I'm so thirsty I don't care. Also see if you can get her to take some ibuprofen (NOT TYLENOL!!) before going to sleep for the inevitable headache. Its usually the pounding headache that wakes me up (caused by dehydration).

It all depends on what you drink and how much.
Drinking to much wine and you get a sugar rush. Mix a few different ftypes and anyone will wake up early. Take 2 asprin or headache tablet before sleeping ang see if that helps.

I am the same way! My ex was so confused by it and it bothered him too but I came up with a solution. I would go out and run errands, go for a walk, just get out of the house. This usually made it so that he could sleep later and by the time I got back, he was ready to get up!

Many times when you go to bed drunk, you will wake up when the alcohol is out of the system, or you sober up. Its like a shock to the body.

Alcohol makes the body dehydrated, this may cause you to wake up. Try drinking 1 pint of water before bed. Either this or its your full bladder causing you to wake.
