Yes because originally the church was anti women, anti marriage, anti reproduction, and pro men. So homosexuality fits right in with the original theology. Why do you think the Catholics ban the priesthood from marriage and woman from the pulpit? Maybe for the same reasons priest are referred to as fathers and and the lowly nuns are called sisters? The church leadership is historically a male only club, why do you think so many homosexuals are attracted to the priesthood? Could it be because up until recently they had their pick of the alter boys.

Wow. What a question. It always comes down to the fact that persons are trying to make the Bible say what they'd like for it to say. It's simple really. For example if a person is working for a company and they have policies to follow, but they decide they want to do something else. Could they get fired? I ques that's up to the boss and how much tolerance he has had to ex cert in their situation. The Bible also says that God will not always strive with man. Society in general has a lot to say about it. So, to be honest I think the weird will get weirder as time rolls on. It's like one song I've heard. We're gonna know who loves Jesus after while." I can't say they are not among the Christians because they are. But to say they are ready to meet God, no they are not. To say they are saved and santified, filled with the Spirit, absolutely not. God is not in that. It don't honor Jesus at all.

It is hard to believe that they are a true Christian religion, because the Bible is very clear on homosexuality. I have no problem with a person that is gay coming to church, but he/she does not need to be a practicing homosexual. Because if that person is, then how can that person say that he accepts Jesus (and what he says) as his personal savior. Also how can a church preach that God is who he says he is and still condone sin. Yes, all Christians sin, but the difference is that you are trying to stop sinning, and somebody that is in an openly gay life style is not trying to stop sinning.

I do consider them to be Christians. I disagree with gay marriages because the Bible does say that homosexuality is wrong. I do not agree with churches that have accepted it but I don't feel that I can judge their salvation or status as christians in such a general way.

I disagree with homosexuality. But I do not hate them or people who accept them.
I don't think you can make a blanket statement about any denomination. I feel a Church that dose accept gay marriage needs to be care full and make sure there leadership is staying well versed in the word.
If it is in the case of homosexuals that are married attending their church than I don't think that is not a problem.
If it is a church that holds gay marriages than I think there are some problems with the leadership.

God doesn't condemn homosexuality. Nothing exists on this earth that God didn't create. There are even ANIMALS who exhibit homosexuality. How can an animal have this natural behavior if it is not a normal part of God's creation?
Jesus accepted and loved everyone. What we don't understand, we fear. Try accepting and the fear will go away. Unconditional love has no conditions and no fear.
Christian denominations who accept gays are following Jesus' teachings.

Affan,
I am a Bisexual Christian. I think that those churches have other things that are wrong with them that are not about Gay marriages. I have read an article on those churches, and they are losing many patrons. The problem is is that they have liberalized way too much in the view of what sin is and isn't. Gay is sin.
So you might think that I just called myself a sinner. And I am. And so are you, and so is every human. We are all sinners. But if you attempt to excuse behavior that is sinful as not being sinful, you are lying to yourself.
I am sinful as I said. Yet my focus is on trusting God, not in me trying to make a perfect performance that I, or anyone wlse is not able to perform. And God guides me towards His path that way. I have God's promises, especially that I am a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, and I change according to His plan, not mine.
Everyone is so involved in their view of sin. Is this a sin, is that a sin? Rather, look towards God, and He will guide you in faith. You will still sin, but your life will change to whatever it is that He has for you.
It's that simple. (Though it might not be easy!)

I think it's because they are trying to keep up with the times. There are many that drift from the faith and perhaps they think that by liberalizing Christ's teachings, they can get more people to return.

It is non-christian to exclude from the Christian church. Acceptance is the hallmark of Christianity. Lets read that again. Acceptance is the HALLMARK of Christianity. The Touchstone. What the hell does everyone think is happening at the cross?
I think you have all the answer you need for your question.

Anyone who says that accepting homosexuality is against Jesus' teachings obviously doesn't know what they are talking about. Jesus never says anything about homosexuality. The only pace in the New Testament that talks of homosexuality is in letters attributed to Paul (although there is a question whether he actually wrote these books attributed to him).
Jesus simply says "love your neighbor as yourself".
