I have livestock and pet animals for sale occasionally and would like to use a couple online classifieds sites to advertise. What are some formats or tips for making my ads sound professional and the animals desirable w/o being deceptive or anything? I mean, my animals are top-quality, but how do I show it?

I also have a website. Suppose you were buying a goat or puppy from me, what information would you want to see on the for sale page?

I would recomend you go to http://pethobbyist.com/ and register for an account. Your going to need a Digital Camara. The best advice is to represent your animals honestly.

I use to sell goats and show rabbits and what really helped me was a 50 dollar license I got for registering with the Dept of Ag. They come to your place and inspect the housing of the animals. If all is good, they issue you a license and THAT is what will help sales!! People like to see that they are buying from a certified and licensed breeder..... The cost may be a little less or more depending on your location. Check the yellow pages for YOUR Dept of Ag Rep...... Good Luck.... :)

I would want to see a picture and know about the breed. Things like is it registered and who with, what size it is and how big it will get and what the diposition of the animal is and if the parents are available to be seen. Also is is current on all shots and such and if it has been vet approved for good health and to be sold.
