use lots of conditioner when she showers
when you get the knots out out and her hair is still wet blow dry it so it stays straight that way it should keep the knots out if she brushes it in the morning when she gets up and before she goes to bed

good luck

Brushing her hair on a regular basis will prevent the knots, which is best. But since she already has some that need taking out, try coating her hair with baby oil or a rich conditioner. Don't wet the hair first. Leave the conditioner or oil on for about 10 minutes to really let it soak in. Then take a pick comb and gently loosen the knots. Good luck!

Get some detangler. Spray it on her hair, and brush it out. Some knots are more stubborn than others, so may need to have more sprayed on it that specific area. Most detanglers, you could use on wet or dry hair, just make sure it would be gentle, in case you accidentally get some in her eyes. I buy mine at a dollar store and it works wonders for my hair. But you could also get some at dollar general or family dollar.

Get her to shower and use a TON of conditioner, and slowly comb them out with the conditioner in her hair. Then, have her was her hair normally and brush it so it doesnt stay greasy. If she always has them, maybe she should use conditioner. Good Luck
