I would say going by ferry. Forget about being in airport two hours ahead, ferry takes you as quick as 1 hour to reach the SZ terminal (just next to the SZ airport), you always get a seat and no waiting
Depending on which part of SZ City you need to go, you can take the shuttle to downtown SZ about 30 minutes from the terminal.

You can take the plane, but why waste time and money when you can take a very pleasant ferry ride. You can also take the bus, which is also nice because you can see the surroundings, and it is quite fast, probably faster than the plane when you factor the fact that you have to be at the airport a minimum of 1 hour before departure time, plus the travel time to get there, etc.

Well it is really hard to say ,it depends on what your nature is ,and what kinda people you are. I just checked the websites from China ,most travel companies prefer air China,if you just like to visit and play in these two cities,why not by air ,if you like the ocean and the beautiful weather, feel the lovely sonshine and soft wind I suggest you take a ship.But the shipping period is not long .

Ferry is the most easiest and fast way to( u can call local travel agancy), or u can go to Zhuhai to get long distance bus
i know hotel holiday inn? there is another hotel oppozite to - has long distance bus to Shenzhen...
