Yes,the Ethiopians really do have the Ark of the Covenant.I saw something about it being in their possession a few years ago on the Discovery Channel & read something about it in National Geographic magazine.
As to why the Vatican doesn't have it,what I read about it & what I watched on TV about it,that wasn't even addressed.My guess is that they weren't sure about its existence,since,up until a few years ago,many people(mainly archaelogists),didn't believe that it still existed after 586 B.C.

Well, the Ethiopians are in negations with the Vatican. I am sure you saw Raider of the Lost Arc. The Ethiopians are very disturbed with the Vatican's remarks recently about the Muslims. Apparently they don't want to give them the entire Arc in case they use it against them. Without all the pieces the Glory wont come on the Arc. So wait and see what happens.

The Ark of the Covenant is not on Earth. If the Protestants had not threw out the 7 books of the Apocrypha they would know what happened to the Ark of the Covenant. Perhaps you are talking about possibly Noahs Ark?

Because the Ethiopians have it. Why would the Vatican have it. I certainly wouldn't want to try to take it away from them! It was probly in Ethiopia long before Christianity.

The church it is suppose to be in is not Catholic, but Orthodox, so the Vatican has no authority over it.
