Does the girl HAVE to go on birth control, or is a condom enough? I know that we hear of condoms breaking, but what are the odds? also, my boyfriend and I are both virgins and we have been talking about making love...we are both ready, im a little nervous because im afraid that its going to hurt too much...also, it sounds really stupid i know, but i dont really know where his penis is supposed to go... if anyone can give me a link that shows the difference in location, between the urethra and the vagina..that would be awesome, bc ive searched and i cant seem to find the difference.

A condom is a form of birth control. You mean does a girl have to take a birth control pill. No, a girl does not necessarily have to go on birth control pill, but it does not hurt to do so. It adds additional protection against pregnancy. Condoms do often fail or leak or are improperly used, and each can result in an unplanned pregnancy. Make sure that when he puts the condom on, he has about an inch of it off the end of his penis, and make sure that he squeezes the air out of it as he is putting it on........read the directions on the box and that will explain better what i mean. Also, sometimes sex can hurt the girl, and sometimes it does not. Usually, most pain for a virgin girl with a virgin guy is the result of two things....One is that the guy does not really know how to enter, from a lack of experience, and he rubs the walls of the vagina, causing additional friction and irritation. The other is the fact that virgin girls have a small piece of skin known as a hymen that stretches across most of the vaginal opening, and as she loses her virginity, the hymen begins to stretch and break. This results in some minor bleeding, and a slight amount of pain as well. It may hurt, it may not. most likely, you will feel something, but it should not hurt a great deal. if it does, tell him to pull out. I do not know of any links showing the difference between the vagina and the urethra, but it is hard to mistake the two. Plus, i have never heard of someone's penis going into the urethra.
In the pubic area, there are small flaps of skin (lips) known as the vulva. They extend from the frontal pubic area almost to the area of the anus. Going toward the rear, there is a hole (somewhat of a large hole, as well). This area is where his penis will go. Once the two of you get undressed, it will be correctly placed with just a little effort and some moving around. You should have no worries about this. Your main concern should be about birth control and using it correctly.

Okay first of all, you will know where the penis is suppossed to go because there is no way in the world his penis would be able to fit in your urethra. Your vagina is larger and stretches, but your pee hole does not.
Also, you don't HAVE to be on birth control, but you should just in case. Condoms are safe, but they can break if they are dry or you are having really vigorous sex. You should get on birth control so that you can enjoy sex without having to worry.
Condoms are the only thing that protect against STDs so only go without a condom if you are SURE that you and your boyfriend are having sex with each other and no one else.
Be cafeful and think it through! Your virginity is something that once gone, it can never come back!!

I would use a condom and some other type of birth control. Better to be safe than sorry. Condom could tear. Urethra is the place where urine comes out just above the vagina. There is no way his manhood could fit inside your urethra. Its just too small. So relax and enjoy. That is what making love is all about.

Not trying to sound mean, but maybe you aren't really ready yet, if you don't even know where to put it.. try getting on birth control first, then use a condom and you two should be good to go.. But be patient, don't rush into it..
You will know when it's time, you'll know exactly where it goes too!
If you wear tampons, you'll know where a penis goes..
good luck!

First location of the Urethra.
http://www.stronghealth.com/services/urology/conditions/urethra.cfm
http://hon.nucleusinc.com/generateexhibit.php?ID=4261
http://www.4woman.gov/faq/urinary.htm (best one)
Man and woman has one.
AS for amount of pain...From what I know - if he give you LOTS of ORAL sex before entering you - you may have LITTLE or no pain. I mean - he needs to make you REALLY excited. Then your body will get ready. For example if my gf and I get on the bed and have sex - she has pain. But, if I touch her first then no pain. Since you are virgin - just more difficult to get ready.
Good luck and try to enjoy! Even if there is a lot of pain don't be mad at him and endure it - it may take a day or two for the pain to go away.
Condom is good enough. Also since this is your first time and you are virgins - may I suggest no protection - to feel the best for 1st time? Best time is day after your period. VERY little chance of pregnancy. But, if you want 100% then use condom.
Have fun!

Well, birth control can take up to a month before it works so if you are planning on only using the pill you will have to wait. Condoms prevent against stds, and can rip occasionally. Being that you are a virgin you simply THINK you do not know whre to stick it...there is only one option that is not the "backdoor". You will know where it is suppose to go.

Why don't you try using tampons so you can get a clue about your body. Also in the bathroom take a handheld mirror and examine your privates and see what's what.
As for bc, condoms are good but you need a backup just in case.

I think that condoms are 98 percent effective so you should be ok but I would go on the pill as well just to be on the safe side. My best advice is to feel around for it. Trust me you'll know when you find it.

ok, how old are you? list tht in the details thing, and it's always safer to use two kinds of contreception soo if you can be on the pill the patch or the shot, you should be, and honestly if you aren't sure then you aren't ready, and umm......do you use tampons? if you do...uuuh thats the same place the penis goes, and it will hurt your first time, and you'll more then likely bleed
