my 14 year old sister was playing yahoo pool yesterday and met this guy there.
he asked her how old she is so she honestly told him that she is 14 years old. he said he is 26 years old.
he immediately invited her to view his webcam and she clicked yes.
it was his penis and he was masturbating. even though she closed the screen right away, she was in shock.
she told me about this last night and that made me really mad
she still has his yahoo ID.
do you think i should call police and talk about this or am i overreacting?
he lives in the same coutry.

i really wouldn't know what to do in this type of situation, but if your messanger has a cache list, where it saves all conversations, copy the conversation and print it for your record, just incase you do decide to call the police.
call the non-emergency number for the police, and tell them about it, and ask them what you should do about it.

Call the FBI. They have people assigned to a special task force specifically for this purpose. They can use the information you have and set up a sting. Then they can lock up the sick freak. Your sister may not even have to be involved.
It also might be a good idea for her to make a report to the FBI. Teach her to stand up for herself and remind her that she never has to let any one violate her in any way. Teach her that her power is her own and no one should try and take that away from her.
How bad would you feel if 6 months from now there is a story on the news about this sicko and some child he raped because no one took him seriously? Psychos like this don't stop. Not ever. They get progressively worse over time. You could save some poor innocent girl from anything like the violation your sister suffered to suffering a multitude of horrors at the hands of this child predator.

Here's the thing. . . . If you report it to YaHoo, they will do nothing.
If you report it to the local police, they will do nothing.
Because (if you are located in the united states) it is an interjurisdictional incident, the only agency that will do anything about it is the F.B.I.
With that said, the F.B.I. is so backed up with cases of real child molestation, that they don't really have the time to deal with an internet flasher.
I really hate to sound so glum, but I am regretable correct in what I say. The local police will be happy to take a report of the incident, but they will not do much else.
My advise is to tell your sister to be more careful. Lesson learned.

You NEED to call the police!! You could save some other girl from being subjected to what your sister went through, even worse being raped. I know it might be somewhat bothersome to you but it would be wrong of you not to call the police. People like that rob children of there innocence and put them through mental anguish that could mess them up later in life. Now is the time when you get to stand up for the girls just like your sister. Be the hero they need. If you love your sister you will call the police. The next girl he gets to talk to him will be someone else’s sister and their sister might not be brave enough to speak out like your’s did. Not only that things could escalate. Think if that man caught a girl on her own. What horrible things do you think he might do to her? I wish someone had stood up for me. I had to suffer the pain of abuse and every day I have to carry that pain. Please call the police you owe it to every girl out there.

What ever you don't report him to yahoo. They will only kick him off and then there won't be any way to track him. But if he gets kick off by yahoo he can just create another account under a different name and go back to terrorizing little girls. If you report him to yahoo he will get away. He needs to be prosecuted.

I agree with soccermomw3

You need to report the guy to Yahoo. No you are not overreacting. There are may people who prey on younger kids and this is serious. I don't know if you have ever seen the Dateline stories on Internet Child Predators.

Ok here's what you do- go to www.perverted-justice.com and tell them to run a sting on him. Also, save the convo, including the link and the pict and his sn, and forward it to them.

That's a start. Also, you can tell the police. It's worse than sexual harrassment. Showing someone you think is underage a pornographic picture is a felony, that guy can go to prison without even doing anything else.

Good luck.

nicely understanding that that's probably WoW, between the excuses i do no longer play it (different than for it being a crapfest), is stuff like that. you have somebody who needless to say isn't a regulation student. yet why does she no longer basically rfile it. as quickly as that's finished, the rfile dumps their finished chat window to the rfile for the GM to ensure.
