my little sister whom is 15 years old i think has an eating disorder or something. she was a healthy size 7 in juniors and she has recently lost 25 pounds, and now she is like Stick Thin!
she has cut her food portion sizes down to like, nothing! and she is constantly drinking hot plain water, i don't know why. and she is always concerned about her calorie intake and how much she needs to exercise.
i've tried telling my parents about her eating habits, but they insist that she is just trying to be "healthy".
i keep advising my sister to eat a little more, but she mentally thinks that if she eats a little more, that she'll gain a whopping 10 pounds or something.
i noticed her eating today and all she had was for
breakfast : was a super small serving of fruit and a glass of fat free milk.
lunch: 1 boiled egg, a small serving of broccoli, and 1 incredibly thin slice of lean ham
dinner: fat free Yoplait yogurt and a glass of hot water.
how can i help my little sister?

i say, if you are truly worried about your sisters life then you should find another trusted adult like a teacher, school counselor, pastor, etc. Tell until someone helps. I'm thinking that maybe you should tell your sister that you are going to seek help for her elsewhere if she doesn't first though. In short, do what you feel is right, but certainly don't let her dwindle to nothing without saying anything. I'm sure that in the long run your sister will know that by your actions you truly love her.

Well, she is definitely eating healthily. It sounds as though she has gotten into a "phase" of eating healthy foods and trying to lose weight but it sounds as though she has become obsessed with it. She is at that age where weight becomes such a big issue (I know because I went through that). She should grow out of it. Is she continuing to lose weight? I would be very concerned if that is the case and would seek counseling with those that are knowledgeable in those areas.
Any hot/warm liquid consumed helps in bowel movements. At least she isn't regurgitating the food soon after she has consumed it. I have seen friends do that because they were trying to lose weight... it became compulsive...they were put in the hospital.

Your sister needs psychological help. If she doesn't get it then she runs the risk of severe illness and/or death.

There was another model that died last week from your sister's condition.

Ya know what you should do?

You should watch the 'Insider' and make her look at the anorexic twins they always show and how incredibly disgusting and unhealthy they look.

I think your mother and father are right, she is just trying to be healthy.
She ate healthy today, but if someone was on a diet that's how much they are supposed to eat.
If someone has anorexia it mean's they don't eat at all.
If someone has bulimia it means they throw up what they ate.
But I think your sister is fine. If you are really concerned about your sister, then express your feelings to her, let her know that you are concerned about her, and you love her, and you want her to be healthy.
I wish you and your sister good health. You are a great brother!- My brother wouldn't even care if I was like that (LOL)
