Much of the information I'm about to give you, I found out by watching a lot of dog training shows, and from my own experience.
First, get your dog a choke chain, I know it sounds cruel, I thougth so too at first, but they work. Also get a leash made out of chain. The dogs don't like to bite on chain, it feels weird or something.
Take your dog out with her chain, and tell her (with strength in your voice, you're the boss after all) 'Lilly heel' when she doesn't, give her a, firm but gentle (we're not trying to choke her), tug on the leash, and tell her again. After a while she'll get the point. Praise her when she gets it right.
Second, if she tries to jump on you lift your leg so you gently knee her in the stomach, and forcefully say 'down!' she'll understand that you don't like it and will eventually stop.
Keep her on the leash any time you take her out, until she obeys your commands 90% of the time, then let her go without it in the back yard, and see how she does. If she starts the shenanegens again, put the leash on and remind her who's boss.
Thirdly, you have to teach her that YOU are the boss, not her. When my lab was a puppy, I used to play the stare-down game with her. This is what Alpha dogs do in the wild to show dominance. Keep looking her straight in the eye until she looks away first, then she will understand that you are the boss. do this once and a while and she'll figure it out.
Never use your dog's name when you are correcting them, or telling them they're bad. Only use their name when you are praising them, then they will understand that their name isn't a bad thing and will come when they're called. For instance, if the dog runs away, say "Lily Come!", when she does, say "Good Come Lilly!!". But, if she runs away and won't come when you call, when you get a hold on her, say "Bad dog!" or something to that effect.
By using their name and the command you want them to obey, they will learn what words mean something. I tought my dog to "Fetch the Ball" by saying telling her to 'fetch the ball' as I threw it, and "Good Fetch!!" when she brought the ball back. And she learned the word ball by me showing the ball to her, and saying "ball" before I threw it.
When your dog obeys you, praise her and give her a small treat. A small round of a carrot, or a peice of their kibble will do. When they get the idea that good behaviour = food + praise, give them food once in a while, then, after a little while, never, just use praise.
If all else fails, take her to obedience training. Your dog isn't too young for it, and it will teach her that you are the boss, not her. The instructors will also be able to teach you some tricks, to make the training go much easier on both you and your dog.
Good Luck!

Try getting a really long lead so he can run across the yard and jump but will not be able to exeed the length of the run. It's the kind that looks like a clothsline and has the pullly. So he can race back and forth with no pulling at his neck. We tried the static collar on our dog and yes, they sometimes ignore it if they are stubborn enough. The run works great w/ our dog. It gives her the feeling of freedom with out being able to run off or jump any fences. They do have various sizes to choose from. And very easy to install. I hope this helps, it's worth a try...

Simple. Your dog is only a year old and hasn't been trained yet. What I suggest is you start training him, or take him to a training class, it should help. Also try playing with him and teach him things that he can do and cannot do. You can also teach him to come to you when you call his name. And chewing yes, chewing is natural for a dog and they always like to chew. You should get him a chew toy and tell him it's not ok to bite the leash.

Buy a metal chain choke collar and a leather leash. Train her walking on a short length of leash with gentle quick pulls when she needs correcting. She won't like it, so she will learn to follow directions from you better.
When she comes in from outside, don't let her in till she sits down before opening the door. Her patience will remind her to listen- no sit, no come in. When she comes in, don't look at her right away and if she jumps up, gently use your leg to push her away. She does it because it's attention from you, negative or positive. After a while she will learn that you give her more love when she keeps all four paws on the floor after coming in. Reward her good behavior when she does it with lots of praise.
Once you assert yourself as master, the coming when called will follow. Rome wasn't built in day, and your puppy will need lots of practice. PLUS... you need to repeat your behavior everyday for her to follow what you expect of her. Don't do it one day, skip the next and expect her to remember. Dogs like reverting back to easy behavior when owners get lazy!

The reason your dog is a "maniac" is because she is only a year old and obviously not trained (I apologize if I am mistaken and she is already trained; if so, I have no idea what is wrong with your dog). You should take her to Petsmart to begin her training...she needs to know that what she is doing is not acceptable (at least not with my pets). Good luck!!!

My dogs are like that too! I keep them in dog crates at night,so as a training tool, they can be put in the crate for a "time out"duing the daytime when they don't obey.A trainer told me you can tie them to your table leg at home every day for about 2 weeks, when they start jumping on you or jerking there leash again, you put them back on the tie out(table leg-3feet long leash).

Take Lily to Obedience Classes. It will train her in basic obedience and assist you in how to work with her. Another avenue to explore is a Dog Behavioral Specialist for evaluation and some one-to-one training.
