We attend fets at a humfort (house) within the peristyle (sacred room). All fets (services) are held within a house with house members. Some fets are open to the public and guests are allowed. You should always have a Mambo or Hougan (priests) present during a fet, they are the ones that "manage" the comings and goings of the lwa. A fet is like a big celebration in honor of a specific lwa (elevated spirits).

We do small personal services called sevis lwa at home but nothing like the fets. During sevis lwa it is a simple honoring for the lwa. Nothing like a fet more like a prayer or meditation with offerings. Hope this helps!
