If this helps, i am tall, almost 18 years old and have pretty light skin..i was also thinking about something dolphin like (unique tho..dolphins are over used a lot :( )or something relating to my grandfather (a saxophone kinda represents him)

more than the perfect location of your future tattoo, what matters most is getting one that will symbolize you as a girl, person, and have some significance in your life. the saxophone i think, would be great.
if i were in your place, i'd get a tattoo somewhere unqie and totally unpredictable lke a the back of your upper thigh or outer edge of your back, just above the butt. it will look sexy. plus, make sure to get them somewhere where you can cover them up if you need to.
AND, make sure you're a hundred percent- zero-doubt that you really want to get them as they can scar you for life - in two ways, as permanent body art or the real scar if you decide to have them removed in the future.

If you're getting a small tattoo, and it's your first one, I would recommend putting it somewhere that is easy to cover up. Just in case you ever have a job where they might not want it showing, etc...
The first tattoo I ever got was on my abdomen...
Below my belly button, but over to the side. (I had one done on each side, though. So I guess it was really two tattoos.)
They are small stars, and I love them.
That way people can see it if you want them to, and it's easy to cover up if you're ever in a situation where it shouldn't be showing.
I have no regrets about getting my first tattoo there. :)

Well if its gonna be a dolphin deff the ancle! but you might wanna get the japenese symbol for love ;] its super pretty and on the lower back like right about the panty line. (not granny style panties!)

I think low back would look really nice for a dolphin. As for a sax I dunno where it would look nice. I really like the low back though. Easily covered but can still be seen with low jeans and bathing suits.

well i think u should get it mayb on ur hip or on ur lower back area or u could get one on ur shoulder or arm or even mayb a ring around ur finger
