It seems with advancement in technology eventually televisions and computers will be merged, and computing, surfing the web and watching t.v. will all be done through the same device. What do you think?

I think it's the opposite...tvs will be no longer and everything will be done with a portable computer (laptop)

That would be convenient, especially for someone like me who travels a lot. I think that you mean that tvs would be unnecessary because computers would do it all, though. The computer is what allows our electronic devices to do all the crazy stuff they do now.

I think the exact same thing. Computers are starting to do that already. You basically can watch movies on the computer.

actually i believe that it is the other way around.
i can watch television on my laptop (after purchasing extra stuff) and i watch DVDs and internet and i watch news online via web streaming!

i also think that in the future we will be able to watch tv on our cell phones (already happening sorta) and our ipods (also already happening!) so i think that television will be the one to be obsolete!

It's more likley that televsions won't be necessary because computers will do it all.
