Do NOT by a wireless/cordless detector unless completely necessary
---------------------------------
Generally you give up a lot of response time with a cordless, except the Whistler units. To save battery power most cordless units "sleep" about 700 ms every second. 700 ms of missed alert time seems minimal, but it reduces the sensitivity of the unit.
----------------------------------
Cordless detectors are horrible performancewise...You are better off hard wiring a corded radar detector to your car. If you mount the RD high and have it hard wired it will be hardly visible
--------------------------------
BUT if you really need a cordless the detector the only one with decent performance is the Escort Solo S2 and it can be bought here...http://www.radarbusters.com/

A Cord Escort x50 w/hardwire kit would be cheaper than an Escort S2
