This is what he is comfortable with.
You are not going to change him.
So just t keep loving him, he is your dad, but continue your friendships with those of other races.
You are a real treasure hunter...you look for the treasure that are in the hearts of all people and with their culture.
You are truly a rare person who, when you grow up, will help make the world a better place to live in for everyone.
Keep up the good work!!!

My dad was almost as bad, except in reverse. It depends on how old he is- when different people are brought up in different times, they sometimes don't learn enough about strangers, and make generalizations. I have personally found that it's better to go one by one when deciding if a person is nice or not. He probably has some good things about him, but when you get older, try to be more fair than he is, you'll have more friends.

at first, any way that blackness is defined is going to come again with discrepancies. The definition of black that I join is historic. In different words, absolutely everyone on the instant that should have been denied the splendid to vote in the southern states had they been 18+ years old in the 1950's is black.

Let's face a fact, your father is likely racist. Depending on his age, he could be a part of the civil rights age. At that time racial tensions were high and there are many haunting memories of that time.He may also have had something happen to him that left a scare on him. He may have been involved in a racial situation that makes him feel that way. At any case, please don't let this shape you. You will have to deal with people of all colors. I will encourage you to pray for your father and continue your efforts to interact with people of all colors.

Upbringing and incidents which made his views more and more rigid. It is, however, true that people of different color have different perception. So it true of people with other differences like region, religion, family background etc.

he probably grew up hearing that kind of stuff, but its stupid to hate people because of color...my dad doesnt like mex, becuse when he worked with them, he says they do dumb stuff....so when my dad starts calling people 'chili peppers' or '***.....' i just tell him not to talk that way in my house...but you cant really change someone thats set in their ways, you can ask that they dont talk like that around you...
