I have long, curly hair similar to that of my avatar. A lot of kids at school tell me that I should get dread locks. Should I? How much would it caust to get them. What kind of treatment do you have to give dread locks. Do chicks like men with dread locks? Cause I get lots of chicks that like my hair and I don't want to get dread locks if it will scare them away. So should I get dread locks. My buddies at school say it would make me bad-a**.

Some of my favorite band members have dread's, Noah of Pillar and Sonnie of P.O.D., and I think they look cool.

Yes! What's wrong with y'all? Sure, she won't look girly, but it won't look bad. And that's probably one of the best non-brown/black dread colors! If you don't mind looking a little like a boy (unless your body is one of those NO ONE mistakes for a guy), then go for it! I have dreads, and I'm a girl, and I wouldn't want my hair any other way!

Yes you can dread your hair but you must wash them.. People with dirty hair are myths and dirty hair takes so much longer to lock . Dreadlocks don't stink only people who don't wash their hair stink. I know a lot of guys who love women with dreads I'm a woman with dreads and I love to wear jewelry and earrings and I still look like a woman. just be your self and enjoy your hair. do whats easier for you

no offence but it's harder for caucasian hair to lock then african american so if you want dreads you would first have to deal with big puffy dreads first which kinda look wierd and after about a year they would start to look right but if you get dreads when you want them off you would have to cut all ur hair and always twist the new grown hair

You should try the dreads if you think it will work for you, but with caucasian hair you have to consider that it will take much longer to lock up. I noticed that they look big and bushy on that type of hair but whatever floats your boat.
You will be able to wash your hair and maintain it in whatever way you please whenever they lock up. If you don't wash them, they'll smell terrible.

Personally. I don't see the point in not brushing or washing your hair for so long. I also have curly hair. I dont like guys with them. Doesnt exactly show good hygine. Yeah. I say no to that. But it's your choice.

So dreadlocks mean not washing your hair for an extended period of time. If you and the girls you want can handle this bad hygene, go for it. I think they look dirty
