My wife made a great Chicken Lasagna for dinner last night. It is made of cooked chicken, noodles, sour cream, cheese, mushroom soup etc. We had some before we went out. Just a little. The babysitter fed the kids and put the rest in the Microwave rather than the fridge!. So it was left out at room temperature till noon today. There is about three quarters of it left. I was looking forward to having some another day. Its in the fridge now.Should we just throw it out?

Throw it out, it was left out too long at a temp that bacteria thrive on.

It simply is not worth it, especially considering some of those ingredients.

My wife leaves food out all the time on the stove, but our kitchen is 66 to 68 degrees, and we eat late and in the morning she uses it as a side dish heated up or adds eggs to it and cooks it again or just puts it in the fridge. This surprised me when I first met her but she does it all the time and insists its o.k. She is from Moscow, formerly Russia. She is a finatic about cleanliness in the house too. I haven't been sick yet. She uses a lot of sour cream too, which is pasturized. Smell it..if it smells ok then reheat it hot for 15 to 20 minutes and try it.

Unfortunatly i think you have to throw it out.
My mum was always pretty strict about stuff like that, so i have just followed suit.
If its got cream etc plus chicken its probably going to cause you more hassle than anything.
But i'd love to give it a go if you wouldnt mind throwing the recipe this way.

You should throw it out. It's probably spoiled since it was left in the microwave overnight. Don't take chances, especially since it has sour cream, cheese, mushroom soup, etc. in it.

You can still eat it, just make sure you heat it really well. If you find that reheating it that much ruins it, then throw it out. It should be heated to the temperature it was at when it was cooked. If you reheat it properly it will be ok, but if you don't you are sure to get sick. Do you trust everyone in the house to heat it properly?

How does it taste? How warm was the room it was left in?

I would normally toss it but taste it and it may be alright but I would heat it up for a good time to get rid of any bacterial lurking

Throw it out. It is not worth getting sick from eating it

There is a saying that you should live by for all foods:

When in doubt, throw it out!

Simple as that.
