My husband just got back today from decorating a town for Christmas because his brother buys all the decorations and pays for the work (I think he's bucking for Mayor or something) but anyway that is what he was told by the Bank there in this town (well, one of them). And it was true they had to put up all clear lights.

No, I don't know this, and I doubt that you do.

I love colored lights - blue for Water, red for Fire, green for Earth, and yellow for Air. Add in white for Spirit, and you've got the Pagan color wheel!

*chuckle*

Comment: It's utterly fascinating how ONE herasay report turns into "most", isn't it?

While it's not difficult to believe that all the businesses in an area of town would choose to have the same lights (it makes the whole area look yummy) I VERY much doubt that it's for the reason you assert - it's probably for aesthetic reasons.

This sounds like just another "let's whip up some righteous indignation over an imagined insult" thing to me.

Where did you hear that? Many people choose the clear over the colored for the effect they create. They seem more clean and classy, less like lights at a truck stop.

Do you know fibbing to make a point about Christmas is not very smart, and using the word "retarded" in this case seems a tad cruel.

I think it is just for commercial purposes. But did you know that birthday celebrations, such as Christmas, are actually superstition and of pagan origins?

I like when the snow falls on blue lights. It just glows.......one of my favorite sights to see in the winter
