I'm sure it's different for all women or girls. I lost my virginity at 18, after planning on waiting until marriage. I felt i was ready though and that i would be treated right by the man i was with. He was very gentle and, although it was painful, especially at the beginning (i asked him to stop for a minute becuase it hurt, so he stopped, layed beside me, and petted my hair-i know, sappy isn't it?-and only continued when i assured him i was ready) and i ended up enjoying it quite a bit. I'm sure it also depends on the size of the penis and the woman. Being patient, gentle, and concerned with ONLY the woman can make a world of difference :]

On top of all the emotions a girl can go through at that moment, then add the pain!
It is different for everyone. You say woman, but there aren't many over 18 who are virgins. That said, I am looking at it from a girl's perception, as anyone under 18 is not a woman.
So, giving the mentality of someone so young - the pain can actually be intensified.
Some girl's don't feel anything, but most feel a small 'cutting' feeling. It does hurt, but the more calm the girl is - the less she will tune into the pain.

I don't think I'd say painful, I think 'uncomfortable' would be more like it. And it doesn't last very long either. There's a brief sensation of uncomfortableness but that is quickly replaced by all of the other emotions circulating at the same time. If she's ready, and it's the right guy, it's well worth it.

*snort* you wrote defloration!! i have never heard anyone say that before!!
anywho! it varies from person to person. some people don't feel pain, others do. plus it depends on the way she is being deflowered.........for example rape versus consentual sex....and on how forceful her partner is.

Usually not very painful. It depends on the woman. Just make sure she is really ready to have sex.

It's not as painful as you would think, as long as the guy doing the taking is patient and gentle. then relax and enjoy

Think of it this way..... if it was that painful, do you think everyone would not be scrambling to do it?
