Some mornings my eye will not open. One eye opens and the other one feels frozen shut. It usually opens in 15 or 20 seconds but I have had it stay shut for as long as 10 minutes. Usually, it is the left eye but every once in a while it is the right eye.
Has anyone experianced this and what did you do about it?
I asked my eye dr but she really was noncommitmal, something about pinching a nerve.
I would appreciate an answer from any one experancing this.
Thanks

I forgot to add, there is no crusting of either eye. No redness, no swelling. The eyelid just won't open.

Sometimes when I wake up I can't get either of mine to open and then when they do it is one at a time not together. I've never worried about it. I don't know why it happens, I don't think it is a problem unless it doesn't open for a really long time.

Is this an optomotrist giving you that advice? If so, suggest talking to your general practitioner about getting a referral to a neurologist, or at the very least an opthomologist, you need someone to give you a real diagnosis and not shrug you off.

that's referred to as Sleep paralysis. once you're alseep you techniques sends out a chemical to "paralyze" you. it is so as which you do now not act out your desires. once you wake now and lower back you won't be in a position to flow because of the fact the chemical hasn't cleared all the way out of you equipment. that's what's occurring collectively with your eyes.

make sure you dont touch your eyes alot .You could have some germ on your hands .Wash your eye out with warm water and a little germ soap. You could just have a sinus cold and when your sleeping some mucos got rubbed in there.Or you could have pink eye if it itches.
