Aside from grief, I wonder if a drop of hormones after the procedure contributes to specific emotions?

I didn't feel much grief. I felt more relief. I suffered from some pretty bad depression before and during the pregnancy and after the abortion I was euphoric. I was so glad it was over. It was quite intense. My depression didn't start with pregnancy but, it certainly lifted after the abortion. It probably had to do with the drop in hormones as well as the obsticles I had to face in getting the abortion. A few months later I did experience a slight almost after taste of guilt but, it didn't last long as it was irrational and not worth paying attention to. It does take months for the hormones to fix themselves during this time I believe I was valnurable to the hatred spewed by pro-lifers and that's where my guilt came from. I got over it.

At first, I felt relieved since I was still a teenager. After, though, I felt worthless, and I clearly hated myself for being so cold hearted. Now I feel fine, but that doesn't mean that I dont feel terrible for killing an unborn child.

I've felt relif after mine. So far the majority of my emotions have been worked out by speaking with people who have been supportive.
