I've purchased many ceramic straight irons & finally broke down & then finally broke down & got a Chi. I love it, then ending up having to get one for my daughter, my step-daughter, my step-daughter's mom, & a co-worker. It is worth the money. You can buy one for about eighty bucks on eBay. A saleslady demonstrated a Coroliss & it worked just as well. In fact, if I wouldn't have had the Chi I would've gotten that one. It doesn't take long for them to get hot & when you run it thru your hair be very careful b/c your hair will be hot & can burn your fingers. Always use a heat protectant to keep from frying your tresses. I think it's one of the greatest inventions a few years ago I never thought I or my step-daughter would ever have straight hair. Now I can wear my hair in short funky styles without looking like a lop-sided afro. It's a miracle worker.

I have tried a Chi and it was very good. I bought a Corioliss, which is also very good, about the same price as a Chi. My hair is curly and when I use it, it stays straight until I wash it again (usually about 4 days)

My sister has one and it is amazing. I used it once and was so shocked at how well it worked. I am definitely going to be buying one! My hair is naturally curly and the Chi worked quickly, the style lasted, and I had many compliments. Very pricey though!

I would not say that 150 dollar product is the GOD-I have super kinky natural spiral curly hair. I did buy a straighter, a hot tools ceramic one, for 50, and it works awesome. Save the money.

me hair is wavy and the chi is the best straightener I have used... but if you have kinda sraight hair you might not wanna spend all that money on that straightener but if you need it...then i would buy it...but be careful, you might wanna use "straighting iron hair protector spray" because the chi straightener might fry your hair!
