Emily is a quintessential German girls name... It derives from the German Emil and means rival... Go to the website I listed below and you can search by nationality/origin. Choosing from the above I'd go with Klaudia but I'd go with a C instead of a K... Klaudia with a K is Polish in origin. Th C also has a more familiar look to it and will throw people off less. Best wishes to you!

I like the names Klaudia (Claudia) and I also like Ursula. I have a German friend who's name is Katrin-I think that is pretty too.

I lived in Germany for over a year when I was in high school and one of my best friend's name is Silke. I love that name. You never hear it in the States. She is 100% German, but married an American soldier. Good luck naming your daughter!

eva or franziska. maybe silke, that's nice as well.
klaudia is derived from latin for lame, and ursula has really bad connotations.

I would choose Katharina, but that is because the name runs in our family. your best bet to chose a name is to use it when speaking to your stomach( if you do that) or while discussing your child in conversation. Whichever feels most natural is the one to pick.. Also you can imagine yourself at three important parts of the child's life (graduations, inaugurations, etc) and imagine which name you can hear being called... these are how I picked my children's names... Congrats!

Silke sounds really pretty... but the real question is if they have good meanings.
