protein really helps Its proven to keep your appetite down and that reduces cravings if you keep your appetite in check. (meat/eggs/fish/peanut butter/soy) Low carb and restricting refined carbs especially and increasing fats and proteins Try the good fats like avacado/ olive oil nuts etc. Stay away from high fructose corn syrup(called "sugar on crack") it increases your cravings-esp found in candy soda bakeryitems but also found in yoghurts and "healthy power bars" ketchup/dressings etc.

I am the "queen" of Sweet-tooth City.

I have put a harness on my craving for sweets by going 30 straight days without eating any. It got better as the month went by.

I was told that this works and it really has. Now instead of eating a box of Godiva Chocolates I can actually be satisfied with eating 1 or 2.

Give it a try...except for some weight what do you have to lose.

Some people can cope with being vegetarians. Some people cannot. It's your body telling you that you are lacking something. Try dressings on salads. Eat lots of dairy or protein like in nuts, chickpeas etc. Chocolate contains some proteins so... Eat eggs. Protein fills you up and staves off the insulin, making you crave less...

Sweets are additive. The more you eat, the more you want. If you can do without sweets for 2 days, it will be easier after that.

I bet you are on one of those low carb diets.
Your body needs carbs for energy. So when you are craving sweets your body actually needs carbs. So try and find a lowfat carb that you can substitute the sweets!
