You are missing the point.

It's not as simple as "they are all honest hard-working people". There are indeed a few drug-dealers and smugglers among them. But those are by far the exception to the rule.

The vast majority are not here to commit crimes. Criminal actions attract attention, which is precisely what they *don't* want. You and I get busted for selling a joint, we get a small fine. They get caught, and and it's a *much* bigger deal ... not only do they get deported, and probably sent to a jail in their own country, but they lose any chance of ever applying for *legal* status here.

And the ones who are not motivated by work, have no incentive to run the gauntlet of getting into the country.

The *vast* majority of illegal immigrants are motivated by nothing more devious than the sincere desire to find WORK, for bettering their lives and those of their families, to send money back home. Family loyalty is a *huge* part of the Latin culture.

Nobody is trying to paint a picture that these are "ultra-holy" people. They're just people. Human beings.

And *that* is why they deserve human rights. Because they are human beings. Do you disagree with that?

All I have ever asked of any illegal immigrant supporter is to simply live what you say you believe in. That being said I would venture to say that if you actually do support illegal immigrants you would do the following: Let an illegal immigrant family break into your home. Reward that family by announcing that your home and its sovereignty now belongs to them. Feed, house, educate, give paid medical care, a retirement plan and any other "entitlements" they demand. Go to the closest VFW or American Legion and openly announce that it is now the responsibility of the United States to defend, and yes even die for, the illegal immigrants. Ensure they understand that any veterans that died for this country did so also for the illegal immigrants. In return they will cut your grass, tend to your garden, wash your clothes and dishes all in the name of "fairness". If you do all that. Then yes, I believe you certainly love illegal immigrants. Remember: Intentional ignorance of the truth = liberal insanity.

The only thing they can come up with besides all the other tired excuses,we were all immigrants once except for the Native Americans,they do the jobs Americans won't do,they are only trying to support their family,etc.You know,the excuses that make you nauseous every time you read them.Illegal is still illegal,they became criminals as soon as they stepped over the border.I personally don't know any of them that are hard workers,all the ones I see are free loading off the system.

All illegals in the USA are committing crimes by not becoming citizens and since most of them don't have SSN they aren't paying taxes. All illegals need to learn english, pay taxes, and become citizens or get the hell out. Illegals don't have rights here because they aren't citizens. If you were to go to Mexico and get into trouble, do you think they would give you rights? I don't think so.

You're right. Illegals are treated as if they are the holiest people on earth. No one can even ask them if they are illegal. They drive cars without licenses or insurance. They get jobs without social security numbers. Their children get a free education paid for by the working US citizen.
They are the most privileged class in the U.S. They are the untouchables.

I know where I live illegal aliens are not required to have a valid drivers license or insurance. Many illegal aliens can buy beer no id reuired even though the illegal aliens looks 15. There is no one ethnic group with ALL good, decent, hard-working people YET good, decent, hard-working people can be found in EVERY ethnic group regardless of "status." I live in one of the states with the highest illegal immigrant population and I know many of them personally. I don't know a single one who doesn't work or who uses ANY of our government programs such as welfare, unemployment, social security or healthcare. Even those who have had babies have done so through the local "Clinicas de Mama." They pay about $7,000 out-of-pocket in monthly payments to have a baby.

There are people of ALL ethnicities who use our tax dollars unfairly. It upsets me just as much that I am paying for one of my fellow White or Black Americans to sit home and have baby after baby while I support them through welfare. I'm not talking about people who need temporary help. I'm talking about the chronic abusers. I'm talking about the wealthy Americans who have enough money to pay an accountant to hide their income and rob Uncle Sam. I'm talking about the lazy Americans who can easily find a job after being laid off but choose to sit home and draw unemployment as long as they can. These people exist and we should be just as upset about that.
