Extemely trying to please people and become frustrated by it. Bi Polars have extreme mood swing (that is in the criteria) but what most do not realize is that some of that comes from the "let down" of trying to be nice to people and not having that returned.

Doctors get to play judge and diagnose bipolar when it is bad enough in their opinion. But almost every person has it to some degree. For example when a basketball team wins the fans go into such a manic that people in LA get killed. Same with winning a lottery.
They get depressed if their best friend dies or they find out the lottery ticket is fake. See site below under bipolar for great uplifting stories of people with severe bipolar doing great now using natural methods. Plus it links to another webpage (Rx for Happiness) where top psychologist say that it is better to focus on being happier than with WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.
Also it explains that you are more beautiful than you can imagine. Learn about that. Do you really think that the reason you exist is for you to be bipolar your whole entire life and then die. What a depressing thought. But that is not the case.

Jennifer if you are bypolar. I feel sorry for you . I had a friend that was diagonsed as being bypolar. I told her to get her thyroids checked she didn't (whoops not a story for you) when she finally did that was her problem. Tell your doctor to check all the thyroids.
t-1, t-2, t-3, and t-4. Most only check t-1, and t-2. This might be your problem too. She takes a thyroid pill a day and she is fine now.

This isn't exactly what you were asking, but just want to make known that I suffer from severe migraines and pdoc says that 1/3 of his bipolar patients suffer from migraines/headaches. I find this very interesting, and is it the meds or just the illness? Anybody else out there suffering from this double whammy?

Often the "magical thinking" part of being bi-polar is the most telling. If you are a female and you think you can put on your makeup without looking in a mirror or if you are a guy and believe you can shave your face perfectly without looking in a mirror, that is "magical thinking." I knew a guy who told me he doesn't see objects like most people, he could see their atoms. Think about things you might do like that.

At times you feel very happy, sometimes, sad...
There will be times when you feel angry and desperate. Of course, take in consideration if you are type 1 or type 2.
