I have a beautiful navy comforter that my cats love to sleep on all day. Is there a way to prevent all their hair from sticking to it?

There's really no way to keep the cat fur off the comforter unless you get rid of the animals. Since you wouldn't do that, I would suggest that you get yourself a comforter cover, maybe in the same navy blue, to keep the fur off. You could even make your own cover by sewing together two flat sheets. It's much easier to remove that and wash it than it is to wash the comforter every week. If you don't want to cover up the comforter, then maybe as a previous poster said, fold up the comforter towards the end of your bed. At least there will only be a small amount of the cover that will be furry and you can clean that off with a lint roller or various other cleaning items.

You could try to use one of those sprays to keep cats off surfaces or you could try create another favorite place for them to sleep using catnip and a surface as soft as your comforter.

Good luck.

I don't know what it would be. Once a week or so you can put it in the dryer on air fluff with a couple of fabric softener sheets for 30 or so minutes (it's not precise). That will remove most of the hair. The cat will probably crawl under it, but you could try covering you comforter with a sheet. Good luck.

There is nothing that will keep the pet hair off, but you can take it off with a lint roller or per hair pickup. They are available at most grocery stores and at pet stores. You just roll over the hair, it sticks to the tape, you peel off that piece and it's ready to go again. the number of sheets on the roll depends on the brand.

I don't like those reusable ones that are a soft plastic that you rinse under running water to clean. They don't work as well, and you have to let it dry before using it again.

The only way to keep the cat hair off the comforter is to keep the cat off the bed and even that's going to be a crap shoot because the cat hair flys around the room. GOOOOOD luck :)

I don't think there is anything that will repel cat hair. I get one of those dry sponges from the pet store - they really pick up hair from the couch and blankets, etc.

Firts thing you need to do is to fold the comforter when you wake up and keep the cat off of it. You can get one of those lint catchers that you use on your clothing it is a roller. or you can wash it and keep the cat off of it in the sameway .

go to the store and buy yourself a huge roll of duct tape. I use duct tape all the time to get dog hair off of my clothes.
It works slick.
