german sheppard,border collie,doberman,most dogs will protect their family,
the best is a combination,
a little agressive smal dog ,that hardly sleeps becouse it is scared and a big dog that wakes up when the little one barks,
this has always worked for our family

He barks at people he doesn't know very good dog though protects everybody in my family
