When facing responsibility for your sins on judgement day ?

How can we Christians, show love and understanding to our Atheist brothers and sisters ??

I don't know.... that is a hard question. Becuase God specificallys ays in the Bible that He wil let his Son, Jesus come only until EVERYONE had the chance to hear about Him or even recieve a little of the good news. So that no one can use that excuse that syas "oh i never knew". Cuz God is only waiting for when everyone got the chance to hear about Him so that they don't make an excuse.

I think we must first define "knew". Sure you can go on Wikipedia or some other site and find all sorts of facts on God, but knowing the facts and knowing His love are two different things.

It's sort of like saying that because someone knows the definition of "father", it means they have had the relationship with their father, when in fact we know that many people grow up without a father in their lives.

See what I mean? I'm sorry if I'm not saying it right, but I hope you get my drift.

As to showing love and understanding to Atheists, I know that we must follow the example of Jesus. I truly wish that other Christians would understand that Jesus never once went to a party of sinners (as He was known to do) and told them right off the bat how He was going to change their lives and how if they didn't believe He was Christ they would go to jail.

Rather, He let them see for themselves His loving spirit, and they came to Him to ask about their souls. I wish we would do the same :)

No the internet in itself doesn't erase this excuse who ease it is God's servants who follow God's instructions in taking Gods good news to people at home and try to tell people about he good news of his kingdom,and what blessings this kingdom will bring to mankind, but most people don't want to know, yet when hings become visible that the end is here they will want to know but it will be too late.(Matthew24:14) says that this preaching of the kingdom of God is being preached for a witness to all nations and then the end will come, so it is not preached for converting people but for a witness therefore no-one will have an excuse as to why they did not know, because they did not want to know just as it was in the days of Noah who preached a warning to people whop laughed andtook no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so it is today people scoff and ridecule and take no note until the end comesthen they will want to know and get in but will not be able! Christians can show their love by going out to people and tell them the warning that God is sending out to all by his true servants who are sounding a big warning and about the kingdom good news that is today very close and imminentthey are doing this life saving work worldwide today, as they have been, for many years, but not many want to know! So, who are these people? Who is known of world wide who is proclaiming about the kingdom of God and God's name today? Jehovah's Witnesses are, they are the only ones who are doing this work that God has requested to be done. (Matthew24:14) So the time is now to learn about the truth from God's word the Bible while the door is still open because soon it will close, ant then there will be ones seeking to go in but will not be able, yes so now is the time to search for God while he may yet be found!

Act as Jesus did and lay down your life for them. When I say life I'm speaking of time, comforts, rights, etc...
This is what true love is and until people see true love can they only see the state they are in and is able to make a quality decision to accept Him.

2) Respect us, and we will respect you. I'm not an Atheist, but not a Christian- but I know that tolerance, if not outright acceptance, is the answer.

All we ask is that you respect our right to perceive the world as is appropriate for us. I you could see your way to doing this, you'd find far less "christian-bashing."
