I never measure so you would have to go on your own taste. I love N.Y. Strips. For two steaks, I make: Paprika, fresh ground pepper, basil, garlic powder, celery salt and a pinch of Cayenne. Shake it in a baggie. Put steaks on a plate and cover with Worcestershire sauce. Push rub on all sides and grill to desired doneness. No need to marinade. Always comes out perfect!!

If the steak is real a good piece of meat you need nothing but salt and pepper.

Depending on the cut of the steak I use Zatarain's spices as a rub if the steak is a skirt steak or one of the lesser cuts.

Sometimes I put steaks in a ziplock with: 1/4 cup Kikkoman's soy sauce, 1/2 cup peanut or corn oil, 2 chopped green onions, a bit of fresh ginger in a hunk peeled, 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar, 1/2 cup dry white wine or Saki, 1 dried red chili pepper

I suggest you try Hickory Smoke Allegro Marinade. It is all natural and also tenderizes the meat. The first time I had it was at a friends house. They used it on Venison. I couldn't tell that it was deer meat. I immediately bought some and tried it on Rib-eye Steaks. They were so flavorful, moist and tender. Also goes great with pork. Try marinating pork tenderloins in Allegro and cooking them on the grill. All my friends went crazy over them.

McCormick's Montreal Steak seasoning. Just rub your steaks with a little olive oil, sprinkle on some seasoning and grill to desired doneness.
