That is natural behavior.

Catch the prey, then find a place away from everyone else to eat the prey free from harassment.

Could be lots of reasons- she may not be comfortable in her set food place ( especially if it's close to her litter box- cats definitely don't like that) , she may be used to eating in the livingroom if you feed her treats or scraps there, or maybe it's just an idiosyncratic behavior. Try moving her food to a different area of the house, give her her treats in her food area so she knows that is where to eat, make sure her food area is quiet, clean, and free of drafts. Hope these help.

It's amazing how many idiots there are on here. Reguritating your food is NOT normal. If it was, we'd all be throwing up all the time, and last time I checked, most people don't do that after eating.

If the cat is regurtating its food, then that means its stomach can't handle what its eating, but the cat doesn't know that, it looks like food, it smells like food, heck it even tastes like good food! So naturally the cats eats it, but its stomach rejects it. This is why they make so many different types of cat food, try giving her the "indoor" formula. If that doesn't work, try giving her a more sensitive type of food. Try both wet and dry food, see what she likes best.

Also, I did a google on this, and from my search I found that "if your cat is throwing up foam, or clear, brown, green, or yellow liquid vomit, schedule a visit to the vet immediately. This is usually more serious than regurgitation."

Hope this helps.

My cat does something similar to that she takes her food out of the bowel with her paw and puts it on the floor, then eats it. I don't think you cat is going crazy, most cats are weird in someway. But that is what makes them special!!

If she is just carrying it in her mouth spitting it out , thats just a cat. But if she vomits and then eats it something is wrong.

she has a wild side to her and she's taking the food where it can't be taken away from her by other animals, even if there is none around. It's instinct. Put her food in a room by herself

Maybe she for some reason does not feel secure in the place you are feeding her. Find a new spot and see if that helps.
