I originally had Windows XP Media Center, but I did some updates, and now it appears that I have Windows XP....Please help me!!! Any suggestions???

Media center is based on xp pro, with minor things taken out and others put in. Why do you believe that you have just xp now?

it shouldn't have affected the media center part of your operating system, unless you're talking about something other than windows updates. however, you can use the system restore option or your recovery disks. but you should back up any important data on your hard drive before doing this as it will erase the contents of your harddrive and reinstall windows.

did you copy the recovery disc or recieve recovery disc? download it and it will set you back up with the computer when you bought it
