Rule of thumb: leftover white meat for sandwiches, leftover dark meat for casseroles and hot dishes.

If you buy a full turkey you get both - the white meat is the breast, wings and back the dark is the drumsticks and thigh. The dark meat is richer and has more flavor the white is dryer and needs more gravy. Dark-fattier/White less fat. Hope that clears things up and helps you decide.

Dark meat tends to be moister but a bit higher in calories. White meat is drier with less calories. It's best to serve both as some favor one over the other. Happy Thanksgiving!

Most people, these days, prefer white meat because it is healthier. But dark meat is great, too. Lots of people want to eat the legs!

Most people prefer white meat. I find it drier than dark meat which I prefer. Dark meat doesn't need gravy to be tasty.

White meat is less fatty and is probably better for you, but everyone has their own preference. Maybe try a little of both.

Its all good as long as it is moist! I find the best way to cook a moist turkey, is in a cooking bag! It saves time, theres less mess, and it is always juicy and tender! I highly recommend it, and the whole turkey will be a equally delicious bird as a whole!

Dark meat for me please. White is to dry.
If you have both serve both. If everyone is on a diet serve the white.(less fat)
