It depends on what the failure was - if it was an undisclosed criminal act or something else that discqualifies you from service, you can be charged (Fraudulent Enlistment) and discharged. If it is for something minor or non-disqualifying (bankruptcy, back child support etc.) then you are simply disqualified from the MOS you were applying for and you will be reassigned/retrained into a job that does not require a clearance. If you are an officer - you will be separated (all officers MUST hold a clearance).

You wouldnt automatically get kicked out of the service. If you fail the clearance because they told you something wrong like if they told you that you didnt need to report something so they find it later and you fail the clearance you can get out with a general discharge. Some people cant get cleared for top secret but can get a secret which still leaves alot of jobs that you can choose from. Most likely they will give you a choice from the most needed job that you qualify for.

You will simply be put in a job which requires no security clearance. There are many of those. I was in the Army 8 years and NEVER had a security clearance. (Didn't need one)

You wouldnt immediately get kicked out of the provider. in case you fail the clearance as a results of fact they advised you some thing incorrect like in the event that they advised you which you didnt could desire to record some thing so as that they locate it later and you fail the clearance you may get out with a prevalent discharge. some human beings cant get cleared for precise secret yet can get a secret which nevertheless leaves alot of jobs which you would be able to opt for between. maximum in all hazard they provides you with a call from the main mandatory interest which you qualify for.

If you can't pass a simple security clearance, then you would get kicked out of the service.
People are given a major clear and background check, before they join the military.

best case scenario" you lose the guarenteed training for the job that requires the Clearance and will be given training in a different field instead.
Worst case scenario: discharge for fraudulent enlistment( if they find undisclosed disqualifying factors)
