It's a cyst that requires a doctor to lance the area & remove it. I had one on my back once from acne that I thought had cleared up on its own. I had crappy insurance then like you do now. Just make an appointment, be specific about the visit & go. Most doctor's offices will work out payments with you if you have any co-pays.

It might be a "white head". Take a clean washcloth and soak it in some hot water. Clean the area first with some rubbing alcohol and then apply the hot compress to the area for a few minutes at a time. Don't use water that's to hot but you want it as warm as you can tolerate. Repeat a few times and re-apply alcohol and then LEAVE IT ALONE for a few hours. Then take a clean washcloth and see if you can GENTLY squeeze the area to see if anything comes out. Repeat this process over a few days until you can clean it off your face. It's not a sebaceous cyst because you don't have them on your cheeks....could be an infection of some sort but you'd have accompanying reddish inflammation and it would hurt like hell! An OTC acne medication might help by drying up the area. Is the rest of your face clear of blemishes? How's your diet? Eat healthy and drink lots of water....also, keep your hands clean and try not to touch your face too much. I don't know your age or gender so I can't go much further. If this doesn't clear up in a week, you may HAVE to seek medical attention....oddities like this (especially on your face - close to your brain) could be tricky if not treated properly. Good luck!

You need to have it seen by a professional. From experience, a small problem will turn into a bigger one. Don't poke or break the skin, the symptoms sound like an infectious process. No matter how "bad" your insurance is, that is why we have it.
