you should put them up on the 1st of december.....some religions say about the 6th....but i figure i want to get the most of it seeing it takes so much time putting them up....

Real tree buy two to three days before and put up on Christmas Eve. Stores should decorate the 15th of December but now do it on the 15th of September in some places. Take down is January 1. Never any exception except for rednecks.

Day after Thanksgiving. A couple people put them out after halloween. But i know a ton of people who do it 1 or 2 days after thanksgiving. Cuz in december is when people start goin around and lookin at decorations

Well,do it in your free time with your family.Its nice to put Christmas decoration if you are in the mood and working with the whole family.Some people start putting their christmas decoration anytime start of the month with the "ber".Like September,October and so on.

You may begin the day after Thanksgiving, but not a moment sooner! I'm tired of the stores promoting Xmas so early! They don't get excited about Thanksgiving because they don't make money off of it! It's all about the Benjamins. :(

my neighbor has had hers up for two weeks already.....yuk
it looks so tacky and her ornaments are tacky too
come to think of SHE is tacky...lol
i have always thought it takes the specialness of the occassion out of it to start to early and to leave them up too long
stores have a right to be tacky to encourage early shoppers but
at home it should remain special.......wait until after Thanksgiving and take em down before Jan

here in philippine we decorated xmas tree when september comes....its a long celebration for us and feel the spirit of xmas.
