The real question should be why you consider right to left written languages "crazy"?
Is it because you were not trained to read from right to left?
Some of the most beautiful languages, and most ancient ones, read and write right to left.
Can you perhaps rephrase your question so that others may more seriously discuss it with you?

After all, if a culture that can produce a specimen like George W Bush writes from left to right, surely you've phrased your question wrongly?!! You obviously meant to write;
"Do ALL crazy cultures use a language that is read from left to right, or is it just MY culture?"

to tell the truth i don't think being written(read) from right to left is crazy... different cultures have their different features... when you consider one language which is read from right to left is crazy, maybe someone who is the native speaker of this language thinks a language which is read from left to right is crazy conversley.
by the way, traditionaly, arabian, chinese, japanese, korean and etc are written from right to left... though nowadays chinese and japanese can be written from left to right as well...

It's weird how people see that every thing other than what they believe, or see, is crazy.
I wonder who is the crazy one... the one who is different, or the one that can see nothing but the tip of his/her nose???....
