I think we should, please read my reasoning. I think we should pull out now, just bring all our troops home. The terrorist will take over Iraq, then the will come to america and TRY to attack us, then we can tell the anti-war people to shut the hell up and let us go finish the job.

Wow, I can understand how you feel, but as a Retired Marine with 30 years fighting for this great country, your logic is lost. Why should we quit and give them the time to attack us here? Again? Unfortunately we have politic ions that want to do this, God help this country. We need to let the military fight the war, not the politicians.

I think its up to the top military commandants, because they actually know whats going on, and we dont. Obviously the top military leaders are acting out the will of the politicians, and are even directly influencing each other at times as well. Personally, I still dont even understand exactly the reasoning for invading Iraq in the first place. It seems like it was a bad op.
Its said that we invaded to disarm Iraq and surrounding countries of weapons of mass destruction, which we did in a surrounding country, but we never found them in Iraq. Suppossedly it is all in an effort to disarm militant Islam, and other affiliated terrorists who threaten global peace.
Obviously Sadaam Husein was a bad guy, but I personally dont believe that he was an IMMINENT THREAT to the United States of America. But I could be wrong.. Either way, the entire operation has gone sour, and if President Bush wants "success", maybe he should go stand on the front lines and find it himself.
Either way, we need to prepare for a possible second attempted holocaust by the Iranian president. He is a madman, and he has two faces. Iraq is a bull**** side mission that is getting hundreds of people killed.
The USA, as a part of the western free societies, need to be able to identify the enemy. When the US dropped an atomic bomb on Japan during WWII, we killed about 100,000 Japanese with one single swift stroke. Im not proud of this, Im bringing it up to compare to Iran. If the Iranian president gets ahold of nuclear weapons, he will attempt to destroy the entire west. He may not succeed, but how many people would be murdered in the process?
I think the soldiers should be somehow brought home, and so we can prepare for the disarmament of Iran, which we should have done in the first place.

So long as the American People want to fight wars like a football game, that is how long we will take a beating in whatever war we allow ourselves to be sucked into.

War is NOT a Sporting Event, Let me said that again, War is NOT a sporting event.

If there are rules to be observed, then those rulles must be observed by ALL participants, not just us.

Most of the Army, after the Korean War, said and believed the statement, NO MORE TASK-FORCE SMITH's Yet, we got right back and did it again and again and again.

For those who do not remember, Task Force Smith was the 500+ American troops that were sent to Korea in June of 1950 to show the North Korea attacking forces " that America was in the game and they should think about backing off"

Instead the 30,000 North Korean Infantry plus their brigade of tanks, paid no attention and rolled right over Task Force Smith.

When are we going to learn? A HUGE attacking force of hundreds of thousands of men is the best way to enter a war. It makes the event short and sweet and victorious instead of slowly killing off small units and getting no where.

Terrorists deserve no pity nor respect. They need to be treated as they are,..cowards hiding behind civilian attire and killers of innocents.

If we pull out of Iraq now, we will openly tell the whole world that America is the worst "friend" you can have, it lacks courage and can be bamboozled by a slight show of unconventional strenght.

It would not work - and I'll tell you why.

The Islamic terrorists have been waging war on Americans around the globe since 1979 - still, the anti-war people never quieted down.

If the events of 9/11 didn't get the anti-war people in this country to "shut the hell up," nothing will.

Just to satisfy some animal rights activists - I will not give a snake a second chance to bite me before I kill it.

That is messed up. But in good spirits(the beer is good) I will say that pulling out of Iraq is a bad idea. We got in it and we need to see it through. I do feel that a change in strategy is a viable solution. We need to get our boys out from the middle of what is obviously a dogfight. Placing them outside the violence and allowing the Iraqi government to take matters into their own hands is the way to go. If it gets real bad then we walk in and restore order. Having the terrorists attack us here would be bad for us and them. PS I am against the war but support our troops and being that way we should finish what we started.

We should just finish what we've started. We've already wasted time by going back in a second time. If Bush Sr. had the guts to finish the job the first time, we wouldn't be there now.

That is some really bad logic. What makes you think 'the terrorists' aren't already in the US?
