Yes, it's Roundabout City, it was designed for the free flow of traffic.
MK is in the south of England, Buckinghamshire I think, it is bordered on the west by the A5 and the east by the M1.
The main roads surround and connect the residential and commercial aras on a grid pattern, but there is a separate footpath/cycle path network that interconnects the areas without conflicting with traffic. You don't tend to get mixed up with the pedestrians and cyclists while you are driving.
There's a central shopping area which has the usual set of stores but has been too small and has had too little parking for at least the last ten years.
There's also still a village of Milton Keynes, it is to the east of the new town, near Middleton.
MK has a few pretentions, they have been referring to it as a city for some years, however it lost the race for the last royal charter to Sunderland. So it's just a town, even if they did build a cathederal.
It's a nice enough place, but last time I was there I thought it was a bit short on TLC and needed som maintenance.
There are many new towns in Britain, most didn't work out as well as MK.

Yes, I've been there...lot's of roundabouts! Along with Telford, it's what is classed as a "New Town"
