My friend and I are in a class where you can learn about French cuisine. The whole class has to do an individual presentation on food, a chef or a French region. My friend is doing hers on lavendar, and she wants to make a dessert that asks for fresh lavendar. She's having trouble finding any around here. Both of us live in California in Orange County. If any of you know of a place in that area that sells fresh lavendar, could you let me know so that I can get back to her? Thanks. Or if you know of any website that sells fresh lavendar that would be great too. She has a few friends who are helping her out, but they haven't had any luck.

At the garden store, they have the plants with flowers on them ready to plant in the yard.

In the flower dept. at some health food stores, you might find them.

The Lavender Gardens in Maui, Hawaii.

My yard here in Northern Calif. It is a popular garden plant, perhaps your neighbors have it in the yard?

Lavender is a flower - try a floral shoppe and ask if they were chemically treated or if they used pesticides. Only use pesticide free flowers when cooking otherwise you will get sick. Even better if you have a botanical garden or a neighbor who grows it just ask for some. Good Luck!

Try calling local floral shops. They may have some.
