In reality the name is Aubergine, the name eggplant was given here in the states some 100 years ago, in most countries in the world where the English language is spoken the name is Aubergine..☺

The Aubergine is called "Eggplant" in the United States, Australia, and Canada.
In European Countries it's Aubergine.
