My 21 year old sister has recently begun dating a man who has some serious psychological problems. He tried to kill himself in front of his now exgirlfriend a year ago. He is now using his suicide attempt and the fact that he still thinks about killing himself to manipulate my sister. She feels so sorry for him that she can not see this. She was a very family oriented and caring independent thinker until she began seeing this guy. Now all of a sudden he makes all of her decisions for her. She was scheduled for her first Pap and he told her to cancel the appointment, she did not need it. The same day our Uncle had a serious accident. She was asked to go to the hospital to be with my Grandma and cousin. He told her that there was no reason for her to be at the hospital and to stay home. She has also confided in me that he is very jealous, she was going out with coworkers one night and he wanted her to stay home cause some were men. How do we make her see the light she will not listen?

She works 12 hour days in a factory and has to be at work at 7am it is an hour long commute. He will call her at 2 am and not say anything then he will hang up and text message her. When he does this he gives her this pitty thing. He says that he is so lonely and that he feels like he is in a hole and can not get out. The whole I am going to kill myself speel. Then goes onto tell her that he did not talk when he called cause he thought she did not want to talk to him.
