I'm a New Yorker, so this will probably work.

Ethnic Composition: I really don't know this, and I don't want to make a round off. I want to stay politically correct.

Economy: VERY expensive. Economy is high though. Apartments in BK'lyn are now around $1,200 for just a small, cramped, two bedroom.

Life Style: Everything is so close, and convenient. Parkings are very hard to find though, and the parking buildings can be rip offs. Houses are sometimes cramped, depending on what amount of money you dished out to get the house.

Culture: What do you mean by this? The festivals that we have? The usual traffic? The bagels? The pizza? The clothing stores? The ghettos? The history? What? (I know the whole history of NY. They made me study it in 5th grade.)

Advantages/Disadvantages:
+Everything is close.
-Things can be expensive.
+Your backyard is the city.
-The city is filthy.
-No space for yourself.
+You feel free somehow.
+You feel so different.
+No one cares about what you look like, or how you act. Except for when you talk REALLY loud on the bus to your friends, on the phone, to the bus driver, etc.
-So cramped and polluted.
-No TRUE backyard to yourself. Everything is shared.

BOTTOM LINE: You'll like it though. It's so nice, but it has it's weak spots.

YOu need to do the research on your own. . .
One disadvantage of living in NY is how expensive it is.
