To me, the bible is pretty literal when it comes to what it says. Except when it is clearly using metaphors and figurative language. It's possible that GOD ALMIGHTY didn't literally say "Let there be light". The point is that he was responsible for it, creation.

We don't know what 'God' said. The closest to an answer we might get is through pondering what the intent of the writer or writers of Genesis was when they wrote it, and beyond that, what the intent of the translator was when he translated it.

'let there be light' was the command the was sent fourth to create creation.before you act there is always a fore-thought.in regions higher than that of earth, your thoughts become deeds instantly.moreover we are talking about the highest of heavens!where He resides.
He was sending out The Executive Part of Himself,ie The Holy spirit to execute the command!

Genesis, the begining was a general book, written in the past tense, so it works. Himself or the trinity would be your answer.

Us,
We were there with him at the beginning. Just in a different form.
Read on and find where it says with in him is the light,
It was at that time he placed our soal with-in each of us. And we became conscience beings.

So, He hears voices... that's the least of His issues.

But wait... does this mean the imaginary friend has an imaginary friend? :)

Thumbs down when you ask a good Q usually means you are making people think too hard. Don't worry.

He was talking to the angels, or maybe to himself just like everyone else does.
