I saw my cousin's hair today and the ends looked gray... I got a closer look and it was just split ends. If she hasn't had a trim or haircut in a long time, maybe that's what it is. Split ends are easy to spot, if you don't already know. Just take a strand or more that looks gray on the end and see if the end is split. Simple, huh? If it really is gray, then the only thing I can think of is dying it.

If the roots are still black, then she isn't going gray. Suggest that she get her hair trimmed and she will look fine again!

if it is just the ends, then it is probably just fading hair color. don't start to really worry until they roots are gray. it can be normal, some people start have gray hair very young, but i don't think it is that for your sister, don't damage it as much, and keep it really healthy.

It's most likely genetics! The only thing I can tell you to tell her to do is dye it. Or just get a trim.
