Keep it casual or cute...
CASUAL:
Hey (after school), ya doing anything cool this weekend? (if the answer is no, say something like...) me neither. Wanna go see a movie? (afterwards, she might kiss you or vice versa, usually thats what happens)
CUTE:
This is what girls usually do, but guys can do it too I guess... write a note saying 'want to go out this weekend?' and put to check boxes saying yes or no. Write your number on the back or something, locker number or I dunno... whatever!
Or burn her a CD with some nice songs that she hasn't heard of named something like ' I really like you' , 'can you feel the love tonight' etc. and make sure you write down these songs on the back of the cd case. When she reads it, she'll get the message.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT FORGET TO SAY 'ITS A DATE!' AS SOON AS YOU RUSH OFF TO TELL YOUR FRIENDS OR WHATEVER GUYS DO AFTER THEY GET A DATE WITH THE GIRL THEY LIKE

Dude, girls generally, regardless of the age always love getting something sentimental, (like a flower(s) cute squishy small doll, or some such) with the sentimental offering in hand,, at the appropriate time and place say the following, "we're really good friends and I got the feeling she used to like me, but I never really liked her till a few weeks ago, and I'm not sure if she likes me anymore. I dont want to rush to ask her out if she doesn't like me because I don't want to make the friendship awkward, but I really don't want to wait because I don't want to lose her." Sounds stupid, but you have the "ice breaker" already, just have to talk openly and honestly with her and give her an opportunity to tell you how she feels about you. If she is interested thou it may sound korny to you, she'll love the flowers, etc.. (token of friendship) and it'll be great. Or,, she may say, " I value our friendship too much......" But either way, if you're as interested as you say, you'll never know if you don't ask.

Tomorrow is Sunday. How about a walk in the park that turns into dinner and a movie. Maybe the alone time will make it easier for you to break the ice and be able to ask her out for real. Look at it this way, the first date will be officially over after the movie and any awkward feelings that came about the day will be gone. This gives you a chance to save the friendship, also.

Ask her out as a friend first. Don't try to jump her bones right out out of the gate. Just be yourself and have good time. That way, you get to spend time with her away from those other tow guys. She gets to know you, you get to know her better, and get to see if she's really what you want.
Also, talk to her on the phone when you can. If you listen when she talks, you'll find out a world of useful info about her - what her interests are, etc.
After a date or two like that, or a couple of really deep phone talks, if you then decide she's definitely the girl you want, then tell her about your feelings.
If it doesn't work out, at least you now will have a reputation as a guy who knows how to treat a girl. You'll have no trouble finding a replacement.

Balls go nothin' to do with it. You got to be cunning as a fox!! OK, you are friends right ? So when you and her have shared a laugh or two or you / she has a problem say something like " Hey how about we go to the mall or local icecream / restaurant have a coke or what ever and talk and when ya get her to laugh or agree on something say " You know I really like being with you cause you make me happy / relaxed and I like the way we click, so to speak and if this opportunity doesn't come up at this point keep inviting her back out to do anything where you sit face to face and wait for this opportunity to spring this line on her and then ask her to a movie or any event coming up or just to hang out at her house or yours. Now comes the clincher, ge her Mom to like ya by talking to her and complimenting her and if ya win "Dear ol' Mom" over ya won her over! Kapeash?

As you're friends this shouldn't be hard! Also you sound caring and sweetly protective over her already, go ahead! She will definately still like you, she probably just resolved to act normal around you after not getting a response from you before!
Good look! She'll be pleased and flattered whatever, and if she is a true friend she won't make fun of you afterwards if she says no!

You have been friends you say for 2 years. Just sit down with her and tell her how you feel. Ask if she is willing to give it a go.

I think you're really interested on her. Just be yourself, be soft when you talk, make sure that when you ask her she'll be happy, you have known her for 2 years, so you know what she likes and what she doesn't. Just go for it. She knows you. Just be yourself and tell her exactly what you feel. Hurry, if you don't, you might regret it!

First of all, quit sayung 'in a pickle', what does that mean? Second of all just go to her and tell her you would like to go out. Don't over analyze the whole thing, just do it.
